Arvada

West Arvada Dog Park
17975 W 64th Pkwy., Arvada, CO. approximately 1 1/2 mile east of Highway 93 on the north side of 64th (just east of the Arvada/Blunn Reservoir). Open dawn to dusk, 7 days a week, unless otherwise noted.

This is a community operated park; Please follow the posted rules, bring your own water and pick up after your dog(s). No smoking at the park. It is very important that all dogs remain on leash in the parking lot area!

At this time, please do not use the park for commercial use. Respect others and please clean up after your dog. Have Fun!!!

Phase One offers FIVE acres of off-leash fun for dogs to run, play and socialize, a separate area for small/shy dogs, a bench, trash cans, custom bag dispensers (feel free to donate bags to keep them filled), and a BEAUTIFUL view of the Rocky Mountains!!!

We have 15 acres left to develop…

The West Arvada Dog Park is a “Special Use” park.  There are no city funds or tax dollars to pay for improvements or additions to this park.  All donations are tax deductible.  Checks are payable to Jeffco Open Space Foundation and may be mailed to Friends of the West Arvada Dog Park, c/o Arvada Parks, Golf and Hospitality Department, 8101 Ralston Road, Arvada, CO  80002.

Funds are still needed to fully complete this project. Plans of proposed improvements are available at Parks, Golf and Hospitality Services in City Hall. Members of the community meet on a regular basis to plan, fund raise and schedule events.

Aurora

Cherry Creek Off-Leash Area
Parker Rd. & Orchard Rd. Aurora, Colorado
Though known primarily for its reservoir, Cherry Creek State Park rates high among the canine set because of the 60-acre off-leash dog area at the southern end of the park. To reach this area, drive south on the main park road from the east entrance station and park in the lower parking lot for the 12 Mile House group picnic site. You’ll need to keep your dog leashed for about the first 500 yards, until you pass the dog-area boundary sign.

You can also access the off-leash area by heading west on Orchard Avenue, off Parker Road, for about a half block to a small parking area (there’s a self-service fee station). The dog area consists mainly of open grassland traversed by a wide gravel trail; water-loving hounds will seek out the small creek.

Grandview Dog Park

Brighton

Happy Tails Dog Park
1111 Judicial Center Dr and Bromley, Brighton, Colorado
Enclosed, off leash canine exercise area. Free to public. Open seven days a week sunrise to sunset.
Directions: From I-76 and Bromley: Head west on Bromley Lane towards Brighton Sports Complex right beside the Judicial Center. Turn left onto Judicial Center Drive, heading south. Follow Judicial Center Drive around to the back. Plenty of parking. From US 85, head East on Bromley Lane toward the Judicial Center. Turn right at the Brighton Sports Complex on Judicial Center Drive.

Broomfield

Broomfield County Commons Park
Sheridan near 136th. Broomfield, Colorado
Off of Simms road north of 104th and south of 120th/highway 128.. Two entrances: one at 13th and Sheridan, and one at 132nd and Lowell. Directions: From I-25, go West on 120th, go North on Lowell until you get to 132, or go North on Sheridan until 13th. From 36, exit 120th East until Lowell or Sheridan.
The park is about 100 yards x 125 yards of chain link with a second portian of 75 yards x 100 yards. there is a shelter in case of rain and an auto fill water bowl and 2 benches.  All Dogs will be required to have tags and proof of vaccinations, and owners must accompany their pets and clean up after them.

Castle Rock

Dog Park North of Castle Rock
Surrey Ridge and I-25. North of Castle Rock, between Castle Rock and Lonetree.   Directions: Take I-25 North from Castle Rock and exit Surrey Ridge turn right (you have to) and then your immediate Left into the park.
No benches, or water but the space is enormous and it’s rarely busy.

Fairgrounds Regional Dog Park

Take Plum Creek Drive East from I-25. About 2 miles, at the southeast end of the fairgrounds just off Plum Creek Drive. Across from softball and football fields.
Two separate dog areas.
No water, no trees, one bench. Safe gate systems. Well-fenced. Can get muddy.

Tony Grampsas Park

north end of the ballfields at Tony Grampsas Memorial Sports Complex at 44th and Salvia. It is a 2.5 acre site 300 yards north of the main parking lot. It is a great place for dogs and people alike as large trees provide shade and there are shrubby areas for the dogs to explore. Carry your own water in if you pet needs refreshment. Be advised that during summer months there are areas where ground water comes to the surface making parts of the area muddy. Remember to keep your pet leashed in the park area until you reach the site.

Homer’s Run Dog Park

This exercise area is perfect for the smaller dog that doesn’t need acres and acres to run around! There is a picnic table for the humans, and the chain link fence is three feet high. It is located just west of field number 1, off of the 10th Avenue (upper) parking lot.

Glendale Farm Open Space

From Interstate 25 south of Lone Tree, take Exit 190 – Surrey Ridge. Glendale Farm Open Space is on the east side of the highway. The dog park is on the south side of trailhead parking area.
17-acre off-leash dog park that is perfect for burning some of Fido’s energy. The dog park is adjacent to 1.6 miles of Glendale Trail, where dogs are required to be on a leash to protect the sensitive habitat of the area.

Lafayette

The Great Bark Dog Park

Dual Off Leash Dog Park. Two large open areas for dogs to run. One smaller areas for timid or smaller dogs to romp and play. A larger area for all other dogs with a walking path near the perimeter of the park. Location: Highway 7 and 119th. Just North of the HWY 7 and East of 119th. Directions: Highway 7 and 119th. Just North of the HWY 7 and East of 119th. Traveling East of Highway 7 go through the town of Lafayette. Once outside of the downtown Lafeyette look for 119th. Turn left onto 119th going North. The park will be on the left side just about .2 miles from HWY 7.  Traveling West on highway 7, turn Right onto 119th going North. The park will be on the left side just about .2 miles from HWY 7.

Lakewood

Forsberg / Iron Spring Dog Park

Million dollar views of the foothills and Red Rocks Amphitheater. Located on the South slope of Green Mountain, this little doggie wonderland is a great place for your average mannered dog to play and socialize.
1. The Park is open Between Sunrise and Sunset.
2. Dogs are allowed, off leash, only in the designated area
3. Always clean up after your dog. Use bags supplied, and dispose of them in the trash receptacles.
4. The bag dispensers hold plastic grocery bags. Please bring your bags from home and help us keep the dispensers full and the park clean.
5. Leash your dog until it is safely inside and return it to leash before exiting.
6. Maintain voice control to avoid frightening other dogs
7. Feeding of dogs in the fenced area is prohibited.
8. Report any dog bites or attacks to the Lakewood Police Department.
9. Limit of two (2) dogs per person.
10. Keep gates closed.
11. Violators of rules subject to fines (Lakewood Municipal Code Chapter 9.32.36).

Parker

Bayou Gulch Dog Park
Bayou Gulch Rd and Fox Sparrow Rd., Parker, CO
Bayou Gulch Regional Park is located five minutes south of Parker, near Ponderosa High School. This Douglas County Regional Park features soft surface equestrian trails and a fenced dog park on the east side of Fox Sparrow Road. Active elements on the west side of Fox Sparrow include a synthetic turf ball field, synthetic turf multi-use field, picnic shelter, playground and basketball court. Parker Recreation leases fields for its sports programs. Challenger Park is maintained by Douglas County Parks and Open Space. They can be contacted at 303.470.0140.
Bayou Gulch provides 2+ acres of dog off-leash fun for man’s best friend on the east side Fox Sparrow Road. The dog park area is adjacent to 2.5 miles of soft surface trails that require dogs to be on leash as a courtesy to other trail users and wildlife.

Directions: From the intersection of Parker Road and Mainstreet, travel south on Parker Road 6.4 miles to Bayou Gulch Rd. Turn left (east) on Bayou Gulch and continue for 1.2 miles to Fox Sparrow Rd. Turn left (north) on Fox Sparrow. The park is located at the crest of the hill.

Westminster

Colorado Hills Trail Head and Off Leash Dog Park

The City of Westminster has thousands of acres of open space and parkland in the western portion of the city. Standley Lake Regional Park is 2,327 acres of lake, eagle habitat, trails and spectacular views to and from the lake. Jefferson County Open Space funds were used for the acquisition of the properties that comprise the park. The city manages the park. To the north and west of Standley Lake Regional Park, the city has preserved more than 1,000 acres of natural open space called the Colorado Hills Open Space. Colorado Hills stretches from Simms Street all the way to Indiana Street. A trail head and off-leash dog park is located on the west side of Simms Street south of 108th Avenue.
