We thought we would try something crazy, sleep in a tent with our 4 dogs for the entire month of June. That is 30 straight nights in a tent.
I have been a camper all of my life, my wife on the other hand really only started camping after we were married in 2002. We are not sure how crazy this might be but yo can follow along with us as we and our 4 dogs try to endure sleeping 30 straight days in a tent. We’ll be posting our updates every day or so. Check back often to get updates on our progress. Follow the links below.
Day 26
Has your dog ever had chiggers?
Day 24
Hot August Night. Wait… I’t’s only June.
Day 23

Day 22
I think I’ll just sit here and drink. (Merle Haggard)
So here we are the night of day 22 sleeping in the tent. Two nights ago we had severe thunderstorms. It seems as though this year we can’t get a steady rain, it has to be some sort of weather event.
Day 21
Spending 30 days in a tent gets you thinking. Toying with an idea and need your input.
Day 20
Day 14
Mother Nature caused us to make an adjustment on the tent.
Day 12
Day 11

Day 9

Day 7
Decisions, no matter how you slice it, this one sucks!
Day 6
Update on Good News Bad News
We found out this afternoon why Clyde has been so anxious. Good News Bad News
Clyde is a bit to restless and needs more room! 24 nights to go and we’re switching out tents.
Day 5
Yesterday evening was a bit like a Norman Rockwell painting. Summer arrived early.

Keegan is wondering why I am having him pose instead of throwing the ball that is sitting at my feet.
Day 4
Good morning campers! Weather is going to be warmer this week. May have to change the tent out and put up a lager one. Here is this mornings discovery. Night 3 is over and we have a wildlife problem.
Day 3
2:30 pm: No Rain yet, so instead of swaping out the tent for a larger one, I installed the screen porch on the Springbar!
June 3rd 2012: The sound of silence… Yeah, right.
Day 2
June 2nd 2012: Post-game report: Night #1 That afternoon we headed off to the newest trail in Kansas City for the dedication ceremony, it was National Trails Day after all.
