After the parade, children are welcome to trick-or-treat at participating downtown businesses. Awards will be given out for the best costumes. OCT 21: Dogtober Fest (Blue Springs, MO) – The perfect afternoon for both dog owners and lovers. A variety of events will showcase the talents of our four legged friends. Dog owners can enter their canine companions in various events including “Tails for Trails,” agility contests, and obedience obstacle courses. OCT 22-26: Kansas City Veterinary Care’s Annual Halloween Photo Contest – Join Kansas City Veterinary Care for our Halloween Costume Contest. Post a picture of your pet dressed in the best costume you can come up with on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/KansasCityVeterinaryCare) or email the picture to jkasiska@kcvetcare.com. We’ll post all of the photos in a Facebook album and starting on 10/27 we will ask all of our Facebook fans to vote on their favorite costume. HOW TO VOTE: All you have to do is “LIKE” the picture you think is the best in the album, NOT on our wall. What are the prizes?
