Coccidioidomycosis: It’s As Bad As It Sounds

Do you live in the Southwest? Are you thinking of taking your dog on a road trip to that area? You should be aware of coccidoidomycosis, or valley fever. Endemic to the Southwest, especially in Arizona and southern California, valley fever is transmitted via airborne spores. The problem is there is as yet no total cure or vaccine for valley fever, but researchers may be making headway.
