Luke Bryan recently welcomed an 18-year-old dog into his family. The name of the dog was Poochie. Unfortunately, Poochie only spent a few weeks with the Bryan family before he passed away.
Luke’s wife, who is named Carolina, shared the news of the dog’s passing on her Instagram account. She said that the dog had lived 18 years and was loved by many. She also said that if the kindest souls lived the longest, then dogs would outlive everyone.
Carolina shared many images of the dog on her Instagram account. The family brought a big comfortable bed for the dog. The couple’s sons loved the fact that the dog had his own bed. The couple adopted Poochie from the Proverbs 12:10 animal shelter. The shelter also released a statement about Poochie’s death.
They stated that they would have loved for Poochie to live another 18 years. They are also grateful for the time that he was able to spend with his foster family and adoptive family. Additionally, the shelter talked about how much Poochie loved being with his adoptive family. They thanked the Bryan family for taking in Poochie.
Poochie was able to have a lot of fun when he joined the Bryan family. He was able to go on a lot of hunting trips. He also enjoyed being around the couple’s other animals, which included chickens and Labrador Retriever.
Luke talked about adopting Poochie on his Twitter account. He stated that he adopted the dog after falling in love with him. The American Kennel Club has stated that large dogs typically live for 8 to 10 years. Because Poochie lived to be 18, he lived a lot longer than most dogs.
Lavonne Redferrin is the director and founder of Proverbs 12:10. He stated that a family had to give Poochie away because they were allergic to him. The shelter often rescues animals that are sick, injured or old.
